well they are obviously someones pet. A 14 year old kid I know went hunting for the first time last fall with my gang . Shot a doe and 2 fawns the first morning. He said they were only 10 yards away and they wouldnt run!!!

next day this lady and her daughter come over and asked me " did you guys shoot a doe and 2 fawns lately?? they havnt came around the corn pile in the backyard, they are our pets we feed them" LOL I said nooooope we only shot bucks :) haha

Thats the worst thing I have ever herd makes me sick I'm sure he never had a anterless tag or 3 for that matter either did he. Good thing you lied for your friend seeing as he broke federal law huge on that one might as well be a poacher.

Maybe they are allowed to party hunt? So shooting all the deer you have tags for is fine, even if ONE person does all the shooting...

Cheers
Jay
P.S. I bet the kid had one heck of an exciting morning! 3 deer! Rock on!!!

The deer were shot in Ontario where we are allowed to party hunt and can get up to 6 anterless tags. A better response would have been good on you for not spoiling the 14 year old kids day.

Boy are you ever a tool of the day! Read your regulations before being judge and jury.....Ignorance must be bliss!!!

I'm a tool because I do not agree with taking a Doe and 2 fawns please?. 14yrs or 40 he should have known better we party hunt but when it comes to anterless tags only the people who own the tag get to fill it. I know if I was party hunting and some dink filled my tag with a Fawn I would freak.

but your right "Ignorance must be bliss"

Deer are not pets...repeat after me....deer are food! Big, medium, or small....still food in the freezer. Just maybe that 14 yr old put venison into his grandparents freezer that year on the last day of the season that otherwise wouln't have got any because grandpa was not able to get into the best spots to hunt anymore...but still sat at the edge of a feild with his trusty 30-30 and his antlerless tag in pocket. If a 14 yr old junior hunter hunts with my gang and gets a crack at a triple...hey my tags up for grabs.

what federal law did the 14 year old break? the last time i looked, party hunting is spelled out in the provincial hunting regs. if the tags are there and the animals are there it's completely legal. perhaps the misinformed woman about deer being their pets should've gotten asked the question"since when are they YOUR pets" don't you love it when somebody takes the moral high ground? isn't this what the anti gun people do? maybe your hunting party wouldn't have shot the doe and two fawns, that's your business , not the 14 year old and his party to have to deal with it. if the kid got sh!t for it he may turn into a greenpeacer. those deer were legal game and harvested legally. congrats to the kid. for me it's end of story.

thats a great picture. and as for the 14v yr old, way to go! that will be the best eatings, and by far one of the most memorable times.

You did good kid! Meat for the freezer and the tastiest you can get. Does and fawns make super eating. Tender and delicious! My son had an anterless tag this year and shot his first deer opening moring a couple of hours in. We've only eaten bucks in the past. This doe is by far better eating than any buck!

They would have been the best eating deer you have ever ate, read corn pile.
Glad to see a young hunter get all three & party hunting is allowded around here.DAN>>>

I love this picture. I always thought deer hated cats, the old doe that used to live around my parents yard would make a point of chasing any cat that showed itself.

well I guess I'm the only one here who practices proper deer management..... I too get an anterless tag but it doesnt get filled till the last few days of the hunt and not with a Fawn thats for sure...Thats my way of doing things and I may be different then you guys so what ever I have hunted this way since I was 12 with my dad I passed up Doe's and Fawns on my first hunt. I have now relised there is no harm in harvesting a Doe.... for me it just has to be at the end of the season.

well if you want to look at it that way then there is no proof to say they had anterless tags at all. Perhaps these deer were taken with out tags....you guys are quick to say its legal but you have just as much proof as I do about the validity of having 3 anterless deer tags.

If they had the tags then fine no laws were broken but if there were no tags then its 3 counts of illegalily harvesting a game animal.

clearly states in his post FIRST MORNING these were not last day last light harvests.

of course he got all 3 they were pets and just wanted to play.... a seasoned hunter or even a properly trained young hunter would have known something was up and would also know his neighbor had pet deer.
