Doug's first mule deer

Well I am typing this from bullcoon's computer in central BC. He has invited m1garandfather and I out for a mule deer hunt, and both of us are here for a bit over a week.

Our hunting started this morning fairly spectacularly when I shot my first mule deer, a nice heavy buck, with my .300H&H. A long shot, flop bang, down in his tracks. I will let those guys tell the truth of the distance, as modesty prevents me from mentioning that it was 300 yards or so.....

I also met amphibious and todbartell when I arrived, and we are supposed to meet bone collector tomorrow. Gun nutz all over the place!

Guys, I am having a great time up here with Larry and Doug, feel like I've known them for years but we all just met.

That was an awesome shot that Doug made! It went over like a cardboard deer in the wind. And it is a seven pointer, so he has a nice rack to bring home too.
