What I saw during load development:
The ar 10t is a .5 to .6 moa rifle with handloads, good conditions and a dialed in shooter.
The dpms g2 recon is a .7 to .9 moa rifle with handloads, good conditions and a dialed in shooter.
I would trade that .2 moa any day for the weight and ergonomic advantages of the g2. Same reason I got rid of my mws, which I won't get all the way in to, but it's a better rifle than the ar10t on a few fronts, should you rule out the g2 for some reason...
I load 110 hornady vmax for carbine style use with the g2, with the lantac brake, it feels like you're shooting a birdcaged .223 ar. I've had a few folks familiar with ar's dump a mag without realizing its a 308 !
One disadvantage of the g2 is the crap forearm it comes with, I traded mine out with a midwest rail. Highly recommended.
Until Knights or LMT suck it up and build a 308 around the same design principles as the g2, the dpms is king of the 308 ar market. Folks just haven't realized yet... It's a pity the freedom/Cerberus group had the short sight to release such a revolutionary 308 ar under the dpms brand name. For those that don't know, the dpms g2 has almost zero to do with the "dpms" company as far as design or manufacture.
