One of the sponsors here has SVT 40 tactical folding stock coming in 2-6 months. I saw the video looks extra cool, I would tell more but had to give my word that I will keep the details to myself for now
Turns out I have a friend that has an SVT 40 and is willing to let me use it to make patterns. Im going to pick it up this weekend and I'll post my progress as I go.
What are people looking for in an SVD style stock for the SVT? A one piece stock or butt stock and handguard?
The SVT's handguard is pretty close to the Dragunov already, but it might as well have a matching set. Wood colour, type, grain, finish etc...
This you would not want. Actually with the whip you will notice better groupings with the whole piston system locked right down. As there are to many parts to get repeatable performance from this rifle system if there is not restraints put on it when discharging rounds.I would certainly be interested in this idea.
I wonder what sort of accuracy you could get out of an SVT-40 if you free-floated the barrel...
