Dragunov SVD

You could always buy a medev-3 and a stock conversion from black horse arsonal. It would be an easy enough build

What are the chances of even finding a Medved-3 now with the sanctions?

Also, the Medved seems to be different enough from the standard models that parts fitting might be a major issue.

How is it classified as an AK Variant, when for the most part its a completly different firearm. Unless the trigger groups are the same.

It's classified as an AK variant because it's named as an AK variant. Don't try thinking about it too much. Just hug your Norinco M14 and be happy you can have it. If you don't have a Norinco M14, close CGN and go buy one.

Yeah it doesn't work like that unfortunately

.308 and 54r are close enough power wise, and if you have the tools and time and want an SVD bad enough moding a valmet in .308 to accept dragunov furnature is infact the only way it works like that seeing as valmet rifles are non restricted AK variants. With some work and modifiing an m78 could be near indistinguishable from the dragunov.much closer then anything else we can work with. Open your mind.

The PSL is just an RPK converted into a DMR but the Dragunov is completely different. There is a video on youtube, a really well done video, of two guys show the difference between the Dragunov VS the PSL. The Dragunov, when they take it apart, you will realize the gun is very similar in design to an SKS/Vz 58 hybrid.

CSA was working on a prototype .308 Vz 58. That would be pretty sweat because we could make our own Dragunov look alikes that are in fact, more similar to a Dragunov than a PSL.

Thats what I was thinking when I saw a field strip of one, all I could think is gee, the SVD looks a lot like an SKS with a rotating bolt. I still wonder if the sear is to easily held back like on the semi-auto AK's

Lol, open my.mind, yeah ok. Cuz I've never ducked around with valmets ;-) and Yes these are mine.

Trust me, if it was as easy as you say it is, then people would have already done it. I tried to clone my M71 into an AK, no.go!!!!

Anything g is possible, but the cost to convert it well far exceed what it cost to even buy an m78 308
