I'm on the fence for the next Sako to buy. I'd personally like to aquire a small collection of them over my life.
I currently own two Stainless Synthetics in .270 win and .300 win mag.
I know last year when I finally got my .300 that the Stainless Synthetics are not being imported anymore.
Same goes for the Stainless Hunter.
I have a line on a few .243s in Stainless Synthetic and .300 Win Mag Stainless Hunter.
The I am also starting to like the Kodiak the more I think about it.
I have the hots for a stainless Hunter, not the best suited gun for hunting the wet Skeena on the North Coast of BC.
The .243 would make a great Haida Gwaii gun, yet again my .270 works great and to be honest, take head shots whenever possible as the deer are small.
The Kodiak is a beauty but a .338 may not be needed as the .300 would cover all of my bases.
Thoughts?
I still can't deny how nice the Bavarian Carbines are!![]()
the 'Cdn hunting clothes' factor is a VERY good point that is seldom identified.Heavy though, and bulky, with a long LOP that becomes more noticeable when wearing Canadian hunting clothes.
This is a a good site for Sako collectors: http://www.sakocollectors.com/forum/
