Drool boys, just drool Moose Down BCL102

Now if you only had a Chinook to lift him out of there. Moose roast baked with a package of onion soup mix is to die for. Happy eating.

nice moose....hope it went down clean.... 308 a little light for moose IMHO

I figure I owe it to the animal to shoot the hardest hitting round that I can shoot accuratly. Every moose I ever shot I used my .338 WIN mag.....one clean shot ....drops em like a tree....hydrostatic shock from such a fast heavy round kills instantly...no suffering at all

maybe just me...I hate to see em suffer

I guess that every Swede who took hundreds of moose with a 6.5 x 55 would tend to disagree with you

Ive shot 3 moose, 300 yards 400 yards and 100 yards...all with 140gr ttsx in a 280 Remington...none ever went a single step.
I know many people who hunt moose every year with a .243 and kill them clean in their tracks at 100 yards.
(ethics should be up to the individual hunter and their skill set) however sadly there are a lot of poor hunters.

This Newfie would disagree also, taken close to 50 vamint moose on the family farm with the trusty Swede over the years...

The .308 is fine, to the original poster, beautiful animal and rifle congrats!
