Ducks Unlimited vs angry gunowners

The potential lose of public land to hunt and conservation of wetlands is a big as issue to me. Im not gonna go and burn a Ducks Unlimited shirt and call for their death over not linking a petition on their homepage that's basically worthless. I enjoy shooting rifles that may be on the ban list, I own pistols and enjoy shooting them as well. The enemy is TRUDEAU and all anger needs to be directed at him and the left wing...not Ducks Unlimited. For what its worth I did sign the petition.

The problem isn't just Trudeau it's any organization that actively takes a position against firearms ownership. You don't have a problem with their president and now board member using his title with ducks unlimited to sit on the firearms advisory committee that is filled to the brim with anti gun picks by the liberal government? They are using his organizations name to give credence to their plans, and acting as our voice while acting like they have non.

Show me where Ducks Unlimited has stated in writing that they want a complete confiscation of firearms in Canada? Or even a statement of them wanting one of them confiscated? How do gun owners even know what this "ex" CEO of DU has to say in these meeting? Has he publically came out in support of this so called semi auto ban? Maybe he is in there speaking against it??

So you think the current fed gov, with it's sights aimed at law abiding firearms owners, would nominate a pro-firearm member to the Firearms Advisory Committee?

If I had to bet, my money would be on that not being the case...

If he was or they were they would post it on their website like OFAH.

If I had to guess... Maybe not anti-gun per say, maybe one who would go along with a 'military style' ban? I don't know. Like I said, if I had to bet..

Here is the thing... i totally agree that potential loss of public land to hunt and conservation of wetlands is a big issue. This does affect me too... I am on the verge of getting out of lower mainland for Alberta.
I also think that govt overreach, gun bans and the liberals are a big issue. The semi auto ban is a joke and should not be allowed to go through.
Im happy we got as many sigs as we did and its actually news picked up by foreign gun press.

You are 100% correct that Trudeau is the enemy in both cases. The issue for Jim Couch in particular is that whether he knew it or not...
The govt was going to publicize his position to legitimize his appointment.
Its the first thing after his name... nobody had to dig for that because he was listed as conservationist.
It most certainly has put DU in an awkward position. The real question is now that Jim is free to speak as an individual... since he certainly doesnt represent DU despite it being listed in every publication...

Lets hear from Jim?

What has Jim being doing to represent all Canadians well as a sport shooter and hunter?

We now know nothing he says represents the DU...
Certainly as a representative he has something to say?
Or should he say nothing and just sit on both board and council?
 
I wonder which members of the CFAC gun owners can look to to be pro-gun? Now that we've been so polite, well mannered and respectful to the only hunter on the committee.

If you honestly can't see any fault at all with DU's behaviour over the last week, you're as hopeless as the people blaming them for all of the world's ill.
