Duracoat camo kits --*Completed *Pics added!**

Great looking rig. If you do decide you want to paint your scope, get some auto vinyl graphic tape. Stuff they use to make letters and logo then stick onto cars.

The stuff forms around corners very well using a bit of heat from a hair dryer. Will be tough to get it perfect due to the many corners but you will be able to cover the scope. Scuff the surface with sandpaper and paint with Krylon or some other 'for plastics' paint. Not sure how the paint you used will work?

Will stick well and can be removed later. The Vinyl will stick even when rained on. Great the better quality 3M stuff as it is nice and durable with a glue that leaves no residue when you remove it later.

Cdn tire also sells small squares in various finishes.

Here are a few more pictures I took today of the rifle with the scope attached.

Don't let Magnum Peanut see this pic. He'll go all Safety Nazi on you and your bullet collection.

Great work by the way.

The bipod only comes in one size which i think is about 5-9"

The monopod is the BT04 with quickknob so it is the smallest one which is the most common. Is advertized as a 3.65" – 4.75" range in elevation

Ok done and put back together!

There are a little errors where I put on too much clearcoat but you can't tell in the pictures

Overall I'm really happy with it.

After taking the pics I took it back to where I store it and put the scope back on. I won't be painting the scope simply because I don't want to permanently tie it to the rifle, so I will be wrapping it with Cadpat fabric instead. Did a test of it and it looks really good.

Try marpat kerlix gauze instead. Might be cadpat available. Cabelas has it.

I have always chuckled at all the camo gadgets available for outdoorsmen. The silliest (after the camo flashlight) is a camo wallet. Drop that sucker in the leaves and try to find it! Oh, sorry I can't find my flashlight!

I can understand camo migratory bird guns for hiding in a blind, or turkey guns for blending into the backgrounds, but what is the reason for a camo 5-shot tactical rifle?

A good friend, when we were lowly cadets, was very proud of the camo Zippo he bought at the CANEX at CFB North Bay, until we went on exercise and he put it down somewhere for a moment (in the forest). Three hours later, it occurred to us why we couldn't find it...
