What is the difference in the 555 vs the Xpert HV. They both say 1280fps, 36gr

The 333s, same as 555s but smaller package, that I have are copper plated. The Xpert are soft lead. Both have large hollow points. I found the newer Xperts have dirty brass. The older box, gray with black concentric target rings on the box, had clean shiny brass.

The Xperts shoot really well for me. Typically 1/2" groups at 50m. Pretty good for $21 a brick at Crappy Tire. Even better was the sale on the old stuff for $15 a brick a couple years back.

you mean Win Dynapoint GT black box / gold writing? around $30 for a box of 500 at Crappy Tire? i LOVE that stuff - well, my S&W 22A loves it. works like a charm, maybe 1 dud out of a box of 500.

I picked up two boxes of 500 of the Dynapoint GT's for $23 each at CT in Abbotsford last weekend. A lot cheaper than the Federal for $29.

To each is own, I guess. My ruger 10/22 did not like the Dynapoints in the white box at all. I found there are not as accurate and dirtied the rifle quicker. Beleive it or not, the 333's are the most accurate and cleanest. Now I just received some CCI mini mag in HP LR and just LR that I'm going to try today along with some blazers. I believe the 333's are better for accuracy in my Ruger because I sighted my rifle with them. So if they drop sooner than the dynapoints, then that would be why I'm hitting the target better with the 333's. As for my leaver and my bolt actions .22's, you can put just about anything through them without any issues. I still like the 333's for how clean they are. The Ruger did not like the wildcat ammo either.
