I've read lots about it.
Wifey says I should take it easy on buying guns for a while (sacrilege!).
I'm trying to substantiate it. I just got the 597 back in March, the 10/22 last week... I've tried selling it to her on the fact that it's the same action as her beloved Buckmark Lite!! :evil:
 
Got my mag Saturday. Seems to work OK, but could use a little sanding. The spring got caught up a couple times and needed a little tap on the shooting bench to break free, but aside from that it worked just fine. Since I replaced the extractor, my bolt doesn't seem to want to close when I insert a mag. I've been having to close drop the mag slightly, close the mag, then engage the mag into the magwell, then cycling the bolt again to chamber a round. Haven't had time to figure out what the problem is yet (I have my suspicions), but it's happening with my factory mags as well...
I'm going to try to modify a butler creek mag-loader to work with the eagle mags (those last 5-6 rounds are a killer on the thumbs). I'll post any progress I have on that front.
 
Alright. It is now official. The high cap mag gods hate me :(
While Rimfire Sports is re-sending my order (which the USPS happened to empty for me :eek:), I ordered a Butler Creek mag for my newly aquired 10/22.
Package came in yesterday... everything BUT the mag :runaway: (backordered)
It seems I am doomed to 10 rds for a while.
