Early version of the AR-15

Not sure if I'm willing to sell, but what would an UNFIRED Colt-made SP-1 go for?
Unfortunately, no box for it.

Bought another SP-1 a couple of months ago for $1100. Has been fired, but minimally. Very nice shape. Seems the tricked out ones are more in demand and go for a higher price, mostly due to the doo dads that are on them.

Sometimes you can run into one of the Norinco CQ rifles, which came in a few years back. They were essentially A-1 rifles, but with weird furniture. All you really need to do to one of them is to change the pistol grip, stock, and find some A 1 handguards and you should be good to go. You might have to fit/change the delta ring to fit the handgaurds.

What is so weird about this, apart from the color of the lower? The A2 upper is my doing.

I have a short barreled AR with an A1 receiver. Looks like a Colt XM177E2. I think it might be olympic arms but not really sure. I am thinking about tearing it down and puting a 20" barrel on it with triangular handguards. Haven't decided for sure yet though.

A good way to go is one of the Colt AR 15 "A2" rifles that have the A1 profile. I lucked out with this rifle on the EE. Added the triangular forestock and changed the circular forward assist for the tear drop one. Still needs an A1 pistol grip but for now Im happy. Technically I should have magazine fencing aswell I believe.

And I wouldnt say there is no interest. My last thread seemed to generate quite a bit of discussion.

errr almost like the a2 version of the ar15 although stag arms makes one that you can get in canada. Not to be a super fudd but I wish people would also appreciate guns that didn't have quad rails everywhere on them.

Well super fudd, almost all of my guns are black/red tactical and not one of them has any kind of rail. None of my milsurps have any rails and they're "fuddish". How does that foot taste?

[ The first bunch that came to Canada promptly had their furniture replaced by most of their owners. Did you get yours secondhand?

Actually, I believe ALL Norinco CQ's came into Canada with the unique Chinese furniture, and I think it is a crying shame that virtually every one was bastardized with US furniture.

I put a standing offer on this website a couple of years ago that I would buy any Norinco CQ furniture that anyone had lying around. That still stands.

You never know....the original configurations (as they were imported) might one day become collectible, although I doubt it:):p

Just kidding, I bet they really are hard to find now! And may become fashionable in a "haute couture" sort of way....
