Educate me on the HK P30L

Great feeling gun, mediocre-poor trigger.

Your Glock is a better gun. IMO.

(Yes, I have both)

The Glock is a striker fired gun, whereas the P30 is a DA/SA and trigger meant for duty carry and hence such trigger ... oh yes there is also the P30S with the safety and same trigger to appease some elements.

Sure hope the striker fired version HK SFP9 becomes available here, unfortunately it will likely have a threaded barrel if that does happen.

I'm just curious, would P30L V1 LEM be eligible for IPSC Production?

Here is the allowed H&K's

H&K USP, USP Stainless, USP Compact, USP Compact Stainless, USP Custom Sport, USP9SD, USP Tactical (barrel 127mm or shorter), USP Compact Tactical, HK45, HK45 Compact

VP70Z, P8, P9S (only with 100mm barrel), P10, P2000, P2000SK, P30, P30L, P30S, P30LS, P7M8 (EP7 in Greece), P7M10, P7M13

Not Approved: Mark 23, USP Elite, USP Expert, USP Production, USP Combat Competition

I see, but it doesn't mention V1 LEM explicitly. My main concern is the trigger pull, would it be >= 5lb or less?

It is coming, and yes it will in all likelyhood come with a threaded barrel. On a sidenote The SFP9L is all but confirmed.

Very good pistol. Super accurate. Nice ergonomics. Feels like a P226 sometimes as for recoil management and aim.

Hard to find parts. Very expensive mags and aftermarket parts.

Worst trigger ever!

GOt it for 2 years. Sold it. Keep my P226...

Nothing that can be posted on the internet without getting some people in a lot of trouble. It's on its way. I don't know when, knowing HK it won't be anytime soon at least a few more years, I expect other caliber guns like vp40-vp45 to come out first. They are expect to announce something new this year at IWA IIRC, I could be wrong.

Can't make mention of the L version, but the SFP9 was confirmed by North Sylva sicne they picked up the HK distribution.

It's still early, but we do have some big plans for this excellent line. Some big project's are already in the works *Cough HK243 cough*, but like anything will take time, so we ask that everyone pack some patience for the time being.

Same with the VP9/SPF9, something is already in the works. Currently, it does look like any Canadian model will have a threaded barrel however.

An opening order is already in the works, so we should have stock on all of your favourites in about 60 days.

I have one in LEM and I love it. The gun fits your hand perfectly, I don't think there is a comfier guns. Only con is that the mags are expensive, but oh well

The ergonomics on the P30 are fantastic. The grip is perfection and it is just one fine and ###y gun. I have the generally less desired V3 as well as the LEM trigger and I love both. When you shoot one it changes how you look at other guns.
