EE craziness… now I’ve seen it all.

For those absurd prices, I only can say: Don’t feed the trolls! They are there just seeking some attention. Have a good laugh and ignore.

The latest wacko posting. $12K for a basic M1 Garand ex-grenade launching rifle that’s been sanded and the grenade sight mount holes doweled over by bubba.

Is it me, or does the EE get more absurd with each passing day?
I was at a gun show back in the 90's where a guy had a 50 cal single shot with 10k for a price tag.
He had guys talking about it and the orice.
He never sold it because he liked talking about it to much.
How do I know this, well because for the next two gun shows he had it on the table and finally when the Chilliwack show became the one to go to he was there with that very same gun...
Anyways, atnoaction will always be a thing.

☆☆☆☆OVERPRICED RIFLE AND ACCESSORIES YOU WILL NEVER USE!!!☆☆☆☆☆ RETAIL+TAX PRICING!!☆☆☆☆☆☆☆IM A SCALPING FLIPPER SCUMBAG!!!☆☆☆☆☆

Also whats your best price? I know the ad says 1000 but can you do 450 shipped so i can make money on it cause i dont have a real job?

It's always about pricing.

I sold two Rem. 700 in the last month within a couple of days of posting.
Better than anything currently listed and $50 cheaper.
The 700's listed then are still listed.

People are incredibly cheap and walk over a few dollars.

Both guns were approx $1500 and neither buyer even bothered withvthe extra $20 or $25 for insurance.

That's being cheap and not smart.

You are right I miss the days when a nice Garand was $1200.00

With respect to M-1 rifles...
Unless you know otherwise, assume that a M-1 in Canada is a bitser, assembled from miscellaneous parts on a receiver from one of the 20,000 odd Danish rifles stripped to make parts kits sent into the US.
There are legitimate ex-service surplus M-1s out there, but there are an awful lot of bitsers put together by heaven only knows whom using parts from heaven only knows where, with heaven only knows what knowledge or skill. Nicely refinished, they might look good.
Bruce Canfield, the US arms authority, said years ago that if you see a M-1 rifle that has all matching correct parts, assume that it is a put-together, parts being swapped to make them correct and matching. The overwhelming majority of US arms got refurbished, and the arsenals just didn't care about matching parts.

Kamloops Gun Show x 4 or 5 tables, boldly stating oh thats not for sale
Not sure that it helps when it draws attention from anything else on the table

I used to build match M1s many years ago, and there is a lot that goes into assembling one correctly. Most people slap them in a Boyd’s stock and call it done. Such a rifle should be avoided.

People advertise fairly high dollar collector firearms with poor descriptions ( often incorrect and filled with false information) and absolutely appalling photos. Personally I will not even inquire about such ads.
I figure if a seller doesn't know enough to post good photos probably no one you want to emt $1500 and up to.

Gun post started it with having no bar for entry. Anyone could join and throw up something for sale minutes later. Then people started to figure out this place existed too and started to cross post on here too. I've had much more success in the last 2 years selling on gun post than I have here, but I've always had better deals on here as a buyer than GP. Lots of time wasters, no PAL folks and bull#### to sift through unfortunately. There seems to be a trend of people asking essentially what they paid for the gun new, the scary part is how many of those sell. Not worth the tax savings for no retail or mfg support
I tend to see better deals on gp
I swear some ads on her have a cgn tax added on or something.

don’t get me wrong there are deals to be had on both. And I have seen absurd pricing on both. My thought always is. Who cares if the seller is offended. Make your offer anyways.
Love the ones that laugh and act like there all high and mighty. 14 pages of bumps later

The EE & GP ad woes have been discussed Ad nausea over the years here.

It is what it is..

Don’t like the price? (For whatever reason) Don’t initiate/engage the seller and move along..

Want to make an offer on an item that’s newly listed or been kicking around awhile? Fair enough, but neither party should get bent outta shape at either the offer or possible no thanks reply..

It’s that simple

How many posts on here (CGN as a whole) do you see about sellers complaining that no-one is buying their over-inflated items?
That’s what I thought. None to rare..

The market will eventually even itself out, where items are realistically priced and sell fast. Until then, enjoy the entertainment of some Ads and happy shopping/selling…
