Just wondering if there is anything out there (program, mods, plugins) that could clean up the EE and make going through it easier. 40% of people have terrible thread titles that don't even say what they are selling (2 guns for sale!!) or about the 20% you find that say SOLD but it's been up for months. After all the years I've been here, literally, nothing has changed, this is becoming myspace.

The search function is your best friend for the EE. It's not user friendly but once you master it's nuances you can find pretty much anything

All the stuff sold but not removed can be irksome.
I agree. It’s so annoying when there are no pics. Even a link to click on works for me, but got to have pics
I remember Ebay trying to upsell ads with pics as they were more likely to sell and get a higher price than Ads without. It's up to the seller to market their goods properly if they want a sale. Personally I think a handful of pics is good with the ability to provide more to an interested buyer. My only issue with creating a search tool that edits for calibre and or make etc is that it eliminates the other ada and would put some more obscure firearms outside of most searches. There is currently a search tool that can find key words etc... so I'd suggest currently using that feature if you are looking for something specific. Remember not everyone is a sales specialist it it shows sometimes but really you can find pretty much any firearm you want on this site if not now then at some point....if nothing is listed that you want I suggest a very specific WTB ad. I found everything I was seriously looking for I wanted to here so far with a hit of patience.

Lol oh people.....thankfully that's not the majority. All you can do is laugh. Makes selling my stuff with good desctiptions and high Def pics real easy!
Every member can now post a photo in the EE direct from his computer. No longer necessary to use a photo hosting site.
Go ahead and volunteer to help ! I'm sure countless hours are spent monitoring this site, I think they do a pretty good job. it's mostly user error...people cannot read simple instructions.
Same thing at our range, people complain but don't help.

I didn't know that. I still use Imgur which is hit and miss for me. I will have to try it.

I may be in the minority, but those type of ads don't really bother me. I try to master the search feature, and if no pics I will PM the seller to ask for pics. Part of me hopes that ads with no pics or a bad description will have less people look at the ad and therefore better chance for me to buy 
In reality, the only user being hurt by bad ads is the seller. They may not sell their item, or if it does sell, it may take longer and they get less money than it is worth.

I hate the sold in the ad but not taking time to go to the options and hit the please remove button

1) I love how well the mods keep everyone in line
2) I love the trader rating system!
3) All the site sponsors are relevant and not just cash grabs
4) The steps to weed out bots creating profiles is fantastic
5) The PM system is good
6) The EE could use some work, especially from a mobile device.

Mods should look for those ads, remove them, and issue infractions to those who leave them up. If people don't know how or won't change their ad's prefix to Please Remove they should be warned at first then dealt with accordingly. It wouldn't hurt if you could change the ad prefix without going into advanced options too.
I asked an EE mod if we could report ads that fit this description, bringing them to their attention, I was told I could but it would go nowhere

I removed it for you. In future click edit, then go advanced and change prefix from wts to please remove.
To post photos there is a set of instructions a little ways back in general firearms discussion when Greentips announced direct photo upload. Once you get hang of direct upload it’s pretty slick
