EE peaks and valley's?

Well I didnt really have the money to buy those in the first place...lol... So I didnt save anything l..

But I did snatch up a all matching Vz52/57 for 650$ on EE last week. That was the best price Ive seen for a Vz in a while... Usually at that price they are all beat to sh!t....

:agree:

Goes for me also.

I always look for a deal on G17 or M&P 9 but have never found one. Most are priced near or more than new retail. In this case I would always buy new retail, less chance of getting scammed.

It all depends on what condition these 2 were in.

Oh, I agree completely about condition. In this case both could be fairly called "very good" by NRA rating standards. I was pleased when they arrived

Oops! I'm not sure why it only quotes the last message and not anything that was quoted in that as well. I was referring to the BHP and the S&W 586 I bought recently on the EE.

Glad you're happy with the purchase. But, myself I never buy anything off the EE unless there's pics posted. One guys "excellent condition" may only be "good" to another.

About 70% of my firearms-related purchases were from EE. Rest in Brownells and maybe 5% overall is from the gun stores. It takes times and effort to find what you want and a bit of luck as well. However IMO it's well worth it. Of course, most of the pre-owned stuff is overpriced, but the same applies to nearly any gun show or Canadian gun store. Why the EE should be any different? Good thing is that once in a while you going to come across a good deal and that's the right moment to act. Summers are dead from the seller's point of view with people being too busy with their lives to waste time with EE. Winters and early Springs were always the best for me in terms of good deals. However there are no strict rules like with any, other pre-owned market. You will be better off keeping your eyes open through the year. If your budget is tight...don't open EE :) Too tempting.

Might explain "peaks & valleys". Rent cheques come due....

Sorry if I wasn't clear...both of the guns I bought had photos posted or available via email .......I would never buy without photos either.

It definitely depends on the seller for getting a good deal. I was able to snag a bnib mossberg 500 tactical that retails for 550+tax at cabelas and got it for 350!!! Also saw a OD G17 gen 3 go for 400! So there are good deals from time to time.

The stunning deals are often not seen by more than 10 people. The first person who sees the listing buys it and then it's deleted before more than a couple others view it (who also offer to buy it). I've made deals on a Rand and a US&S, both within minutes of the post going up. That being said, "stunning deals" are definitely few and far between.

I have yet to find a stuning deal on the EE, if there is a 150.00 gap between new and EE i will go new but i still hope one day to get on a mega deal on the EE, i dont dispear... JP.

Very true. I got myself at least three super deals over the last couple of years...just by being first to respond. Sale ad was on for maybe 10 minutes, maybe less and was taken down after my initial offer. I bet many people here can share similar stories as well...

Yep, when the item you are selling is sold under 5/10 minutes, then you think you went for too cheap but cannot back out on the deal.

I think a lot of people miss the fact that if it is a good deal for the person buying the gun then that is all that matters.

When I find a really hard to find gun that is no longer made and I really want it then within reason the price is only part of the deal. The fact that I get the gun is the most inportant part to me.

If you keep the gun for a few years it will be worth in most cases way more then you paid for it.
