Elite Black riflemen Sound Off

The factory testing procedure for a Swiss rifle is 24 shots from a cold bore fired from a machine rest in a 300m tunnel.
All 24 shots must hit within a 11cm x 11cm area and roughly 50% of the shots must hit within a 7cm x 7cm area (not exactly true).

This standard of accuracy, 24 shots within a 4" x 4" area at 300m is much better than 1 MOA 5 shot average group and is guaranteed for all rifle which leave the factory floor.

The idea is very simple: Swiss Army wants 100% hit probability at 300m from a cold bore at the vital zone of a human target.
If you have the money, get a Swiss Arms Green Rifle and you will never regret it.

Machine rests and real GP90 ammo are great indeed.
I only posted to show the OP what an average shooter using cheap and available bulk ammo can do with one of these rifles at range.

I also owned a Robinson Arms XCR-L in 223 Rem and it would shoot 1 MOA 5 shot groups at 100m with Hornady 60gr TAP-FDP when topped with a 6-24x50mm scope and an Harris bipod.
It shot almost as well with PMC M193 ammo but both IVI 63gr FMJ and Winchester 55gr FMJ ammo produced 1.5-2 MOA groups.

I've installed my 6-24x50mm scope on many rifle such a Ruger 10/22, dozens of hunting rifles, AR15s, HKs, M14s and the result is always the same: groups size drop by 20-50%!
When measuring a rifle's accuracy, always bet on the man with big Nightforce/S&B/Zeiss scope ;)

One note on regular ammo: even a match bolt action might not break the 1 MOA ammo with bulk ammo.

I find it funny that one's "eliteness" is depending on the price of his tool - Eliteness is based on skill, knowledge/experience and physical + mental toughness.

Once you have all 3 of the above, you will be elite regardness you are waving a TAVOR or swiss arms - or even a SKS.

Back to the OP... I don't think you can expect to consistently shoot 1MOA with any of the rifles listed, with the possible exceptions of the Swiss Arms and ACR (there may be exceptions to this rule, of course)...

The lightest, most compact and accurate bullpup is actually a non-restricted FS2000 with a heavy barrel. It's just over 6.5lbs, great trigger, ergonomics and ambidextrous (with front ejection). If you can find one (and that's the trick) it's going to run you upwards of $4k, though.

Since that's not an option, the Tavor is probably the best choice for a compact, lightweight and fairly accurate black rifle.

You're right: please rename thread to "Elitist black rifle owners Sound Off" ;)

What I meant By elite was Just that Prices for the best looking, most military like assault rifles in canada are VERY pricy, and i would imagine most people cannot afford to own such guns without saving up lots of cash just for the rifle..nevermind optics and accessories. So while tons of people own a m14, mini-14, and SKS, It is a smaller, more "elite" crowd that have the expensive gear. didnt mean to insult your dominance on the "battlefield"

and I would probably just use it for target practice, and to become "elite" as greentips puts it. A swiss arms sounds like a solid choice, weight isnt an issue for me, but i do love that compactness of a bullpup.....ughh too many choices. maybe ill win the lottery and be able to buy them all

Well, what is the primary application (use) and what kind of non-lottery budget are you looking at? That would help to narrow it down for you considerably.

If your only goal is for random target practice, get a mini 14 , they are cheap and accurate enough for just target shooting/plinking.

Ha, that did not take long, never seen that sh!t before in my life I swear...;)
I still want a Tayvor:)p) though, I have handled one in Israel but did not get a chance to squeeze off any. Very balanced rifle, nifty looking to boot, points well. Who wants to "lend" me 3k to deflower myself of being a tayvor virgin.

What else can you really use any of these rifles for?? besides military shooting competitions, and killing coyotes, not much you can do with them am i right? Im the kind of guy that if im gonna get a rifle, i want a really nice one. So i think that instead of spending $2300 on a rifle with decent accuracy, ill save up a bit longer and get the one that has great accuracy(considering the platform)

You should definitely get a Tavor. There have been some pretty decent used ones on the EE (last one I saw was listed for $2,350).
