Hi guys:
Just came across an 1922 Enfield with a No1 Mk III nose piece, but the rear site is on the back of the receiver, like the No4 rather than on the rear of the barrel like the No1 Mk III. After a lot of searching I'm thinking this is a SMLE Mark V. I've never seen one before, so of course I could be wrong. Unfortunately I didn't have a camera so I was unable to take a picture.
If this truly is an Enfield SMLE Mark V, how rare is it because like I said I’ve never seen or even heard of one before. Also does any one have any idea on what be price for one that looks to be in good condition? Oh and before any one asks, the owner is not interested in selling and if he does I’m 1st in line!
