enter 1911 owners....i may buy one.

Happy with my Ruger. Yes it's a little loose here and there, but all you hear is BLAM BLAM BLAM BLAM BLAM BLAM BLAM anyway, and I shoot it more accurately than i do most pistols, so it's tight we're it counts.

It's my first 1911 and I've only shot a few mags out of other brands, so can't really comment authoritatively. The Norc deluxe that one bloke at the range had felt pretty solid, though.

I seem to be in the same dilemma... Can't seem to find a 1911 that i like I love them all! But I'm biased on the Sigs. (I own a P226 :) )

sigs ive got... i dont want anymore sigs right now.great pistols but i like having different options.
if i get a 1911 i may sell my p220... really never shoot the thing.

I had SR1911 - very good, reasonable prices. Bought a Sig, sold the Ruger. You should check out the Sig Sauer Tac Pacs - All stainless with Nitron finish and rail. 2 eight round mags, laser, holster, case. Fantastic gun on it's own. Can be had for $1095 GST included at a particular dealer.

what dealer has this? pm if you like

I picked up a Norinco from Gunnar up in PG. Excellent trigger and very accurate. I was looking for something without a drop safety and a non-ramped barrel. Can't beat the price either.

Ain't that the truth.

wow. that is a perfect collection of 1911s. 10mm delta, trojan 6.0 and a LAR grizzly. don't see grizzlies too often these days. do you shoot it much? whats it like... accuracy, handling etc.?

I've had 3 1911's; Norinco, Taurus and Sig Carry. Sig was best of course; tight, reliable and accurate but 1911 just wasn't my thing I guess.

The grip is quite wide, it's definitely a 2-hander. Recoil is ok kinda between a .44 and a .50. It's quite accurate. Ammo is super scarce though. I'm down to about 160 rounds left, I gotta start reloading. I love my Grizzly.

Too bad it never really took off. Always thought it was a good cartridge.

I'm still looking for a 10" model in stainless.

if you find one, definitely post a pic with impressions. The 8s and the 10s are super rare. i think they only made them for a couples of years and about the same that time LAR was experimenting with other cartridges (44, 10mm... ) in that platform in addition to the 9 and 45 win mag.
