Yes, more striker fired guns will show up in Prod. Can't see it doing too much though since it's more about the shooter. Some friends have been changing divisions just to keep things fresh, so I expect we'll see some people hopping into Prod with their aftermarket triggered striker fired guns.
If someone didn't shoot IPSC at all because of the fear of getting beat by a "Shadow", then they are probably the type to make excuses for just about anything and wouldn't get anywhere in the sport anyhow.![]()
Don't tell that to those who made the decision to amend the rules. The whole point was to expand the membership. Most of the young guns are shooting Glocks or other striker polymer guns. You don't see them in IPSC because up until now the rules favour DA/SA pistols. I would not be so fast to suggest they won't be competitive. Vogel won the Production World Championship in Greece a few years back with a virtually stock Glock 17. I have not seen to many shooters go from C Class to Master by simply buying a Shadow2. CZ will come out with a FS Competition ready P 10 soon. Time will tell. As an aside isn't the Tanfoglio the new Champ on IPSC with their Stock111?
I am not sure why you would suggest fear of getting beat by a Shadow keeps shooters out of IPSC. Most folks I see shooting IPSC and IDPA are out for the fun of shooting. If all there was to shooting was "winning" I can't imagine many would participate.
