Eotech / Ar 15

Both eyes should remain OPEN when using a non magnified CCO. Seeing as how humans are binocular and blend the images from both eyes, the FSB does not interfere with your sight picture. Yours eyes should also be focused on the target NOT the reticle.

Some still prefer to run a folding front sight. Aside from the mechanics, its a personal choice.

I currently run an Eotech with a regular old FSB. It's a 100% co-witness set-up, which is good for verifying zero, but I do find that the FSB seems to clutter my sight picture a little. I'm going to try a LaRue riser and see if a lower third co-witness works for me.

If I don't find that the new setup is to my liking, I'll probably go with a low-pro gas block and a longer FF rail.

If you plan on doing alot of shooting the EOTech should be mounted on the receiver, not an issue if you are a casual plinker but if you go through 500-1000 rounds per range session you MAY encounter problems with the sight overheating and crashing. Not saying it will happen but many LEO and mil. units have run into this problem.

Thanks for that, thats news to me. Interesting.
