Eotech Refund

Sent mine back just now. Got approved for US$679 for an EXPS3. Shipped it expedited and insured to the same amount. Now the wait begins.

I sent mine in 2 weeks ago. Just got my email notice. Getting back $364 USD (for an EOTech ​511.A65, which is old and out of date now). Can't complain, I guess.
 
I too called the 1-888 number. The next batch of cheques are mailing out tomorrow (March 11). After 10 days (ie March 21 or so) call back if you haven't received your cheque.

The wait time was zero, and the guy was helpful and quick to answer my questions.

I think they are handling this very well.

I sent mine in a couple week ago. Just waiting on money. May still consider an upgrade in the future since Eotech sights work very well for what they do. I'd be happy to hear if they can fix the wandering zero issue.

I have been waiting a long time now for my cheque , I received the cheque is in the mail reply already ...what is the 1 888 phone # ?
 
Just called the EOtech 1-888 number (1-888-EOTHOLO). Was told that my cheque is in the mail and should be in my hands in a matter of weeks. Just to give some guys a timeline:
Filled out online refund form: Dec 28th
Refund Request approved: Dec 29th
Eotech received my sight: Jan 8th
I did not receive an email saying that they received my sight or were processing my cheque, etc... The last batch of cheques was sent out on March 11th. The lady on the phone was great and I encourage anyone with any questions to call them.
 
For those of you who own Bushnell Holo Sights that were made by Eotech and branded under the Bushnell name.
I called Bushnell Canada in Toronto a couple days back to see if the Bushnelll branded sights would be covered in the recall. They did not know a thing about it. So I explained the issue to him, and suggested he look on Eotechs web site. I asked that he look into the matter and get back to me. He did so to-day. The word from Eotech through Bushnell is that Bushnell branded sights will not be covered by any current refund program offered by Eotech.

So for all you folks like myself who own the Bushnell Holo Sights we are SOL from either Bushenll and Eotech.

"Thanks for your email. Our holosight’s were never built to claimed specifications like the optics produced by eotech in question. These were not mil spec nor were they rated to withstand heat / cold, or any other variable. Furthermore, being that they have been discontinued for coming up on 9 years, we are not offering any compensation. Thanks

All that being said. My Bushnell Holo Sight has always worked well in all kinds of weather and temps. Never had an issue with it that I am aware of. It's about the only item I ever owned with the Bushnell name on it that has worked. Bushnell's attitude on the recall is not surprising. I shot a lot of skeet years ago with Don Epps. His opinion on Bushnell products was that there warranty was not worth the paper it was written on. He stocked and sold a lot of Bushnell product as it was an affordable low to mid quality optic. He told me to always save the box from any Bushnell product as it will out last the product which came in it and be more durable and useful in the long run.
In heeding Don's advice I still have the original box my Holo Sight came in just in case.

Mailed my optic March 2, received March 7. Received this email today March 16.

Sweet, I should be able to get a replacement sight for my AR in the next couple weeks. Then I will send mine in! I'm pretty happy that I won't have to wait 2-3 months like some guys between receipt of sight and acknowledgment.
