exactly, so why do people feel the need to bring up in discussion of the XCR that it does what it was designed to do when it never made it to the role it was designed for? Attempting to justify an inherent problem with any rifle by saying it was good enough for the purpose it was designed for is false when it never made it there and the civilian market was settled on instead.



You just don't get it. Just because it didn't win the trial doesn't change what it was designed for. How hard is that to understand? And why are you calling the accuracy a problem? This style rifle was not designed with accuracy in mind. What they cared about was reliability and ergonomics and modularity. they nailed modularity and ergos, I've never owned one so I can't speak for reliability. So seems to me they accomplished what they wanted. I'm sure you still won't understand though.
