I have had similar good and bad experiences to those mentioned here. My only really "bad" experience was my first dealing with them, and there was an issue with the amounts promised on some trades. The amounts I was told seemed fair but then when I was told about %'s coming off of the amount if it was for sale, trade or consignment, really brought the amounts down, and that was before ATT's for consignment/sale were not automatically for a return trip in case there were issues, so I basically had to go along with it, or leave the guns there and get an ATT to go back again to pick them up. I have learned my lesson and now our communication on that sort of thing is gone over to the n'th degree before I go in. Never a problem since.
If you are having problems being ignored, here is my advice. Look like you are there to buy something and that you know what you want. If you are there looking all sheepish like a deer in the headlights you probably can get passed by if the next guy looks prepared. I hate waiting in a line up only to have the guy in front of me start asking questions and chatting monopolizing the sales guys time. That is what email is for. Ask your questions ahead of time, wait the day or two or ten to get the answers. That way when you go in, you are prepared to do your transaction, you get it done quickly and Bob is your uncle. Look like your next to be served and you will be. Be the ball.
Kevin always answers my emails right away, even if I am an idiot and ask the same question over and over. We usually get all our business worked out on line, then when I go to see him, it is basically "Hi", do the business, then "thanks, come again". I could not count the amount of times I have emailed and asked him about certain guns without buying them, I cannot fathom people doing THAT at the store holding up folks who know what they want, got the coin in hand and want to get out of Dodge ASAFP.
