I think that symbolic amount CGN wants for membership is just to confirm that you applicant is a canadian resident with address and a credit card.
So if things go south, admins can give name and address to a victim.
CGN does not have ownership of the information provided to the webstore. The webstore has ownership of those information.
The forum does not know the real names and addresses of the team members. The webstore knows the personal information, but it does not know what CGN accounts they are related to.
The moderators and admin of the forum have no access to any information the webstore holds. The webstore passes an email address to the forum for update, after the webstore has done its review procedures. The forum looks up the account by the email address, if it is permitted by the forum to enable access, the account is updated. Otherwise, it is bounced back to the webstore.
I hope this clarifies the relationship between the forum and the webstore in processing team membership. At no point does the forum access, handle and/or store any personal information. That is all done by the webstore.
I'm new to the hobby so I don't have a lot of input to offer . Kind of makes getting the post count up a bit difficult but I get it. Waiting to get access to the EE as well in hopes of making my first purchases there.
What kind of gun are you looking at buying for your first one? Do you already know what caliber? It's easy to chat and and ask questions.
That was going to be my comment as well. Ask lots of questions. Trust me, you'll get lots of answers. Some you might just have to ignore. lol. Pick through the information and decide what's best for you. There is an abundance of knowledge on this site.

I'm a newbie so I don't have a lot to add to most conversations yet. Just taking my new savage out to range for first time today. Would love a pistol when I eventually get access to EE
It is kind of tough to figure who's who no doubt there. However, not exactly on the topic but is kind of related..
Joined a while back. Read a lot(thank you - great site ) before my first purchase. Then came a restricted purchase from EE. Deal done. I've left a positkve feedback for the seller. .. and he has not.
I have completed his conditions 100%. EMT was in his inbox before we even spoke on the phone.
Politely reminded him twice.. still nothing.. although he did not forget to offer me to buy aother two guns from him...
With regards posts forum .. i dont feel expert enough yet to "participate" with something of a value.
I am not complaining. Just wanted to throw one more side of the .. coin.
Perhaps an i dicator for the newbies who they are/will be dealing with is that the CGNer i bought from has a nearly 90 feedback score and 3 forum posts.
