Jeepers I haven't shot at Prince George since 1983 during the BP Nstional matches certainly enjoyed it though!Prince George Rod and Gun Club.
Ha ha ha. Holding 4 ft when he should have held 7 at 1000m. I would love to have heard that one in person. He probably doesn't even know what 1000m looks like in the field.
I was quite surprised that I was the only one using a range finder with ballistics calc for the 1000 m shoot I was in. To me that is the only true way to get proper dope in the conditions that you are currently in. Most used range cards, but that doesn't in any way take into account your current conditions.
Still amazes me with the low cost of binos these days the amount of guys that hunt without them, much less hunt without any range finders. And they want to call themselves long range hunters???

At our matches and on any given day, Kestrels and other electronic ranging apps and rigs abound, except during our Fclass matches of course where they are prohibited on the line .
Our range is a "square" range though, so our targets are at a fixed distance so there is no need to range them , a person does need dope however.
