Decided to try somthing new...A Beretta M9 just arrived....And am wondering now why I got it....

Heck I don't even know how to use it properly..

Are they all single action on the first shot ?
Tha hammer weems to follow the slide......

I think I need an owners manual......could someone post a link if one is available for online download, thanks.

Any members of the BRRC have one of these 92 variations ?

Well, there's something to be said for buying a gun you don't know, or waiting to find out, and then missing out!!
twice i've gone home to research a used gun, maybe a couple days, then deciding i DO want it, and they were already gone.....
The latest time though, i just put a deposit on another in the case....

Yup, bought my XD like that. Walked in, said "hrm, that looks interesting, I'll take it!" haha never even held it.

I never regretted it either!

Bought my first Beretta like that. Never shot one, had only heard that the US Army used them. I sold it 8 months later, but never regretted buying it.

Beretta

Been thru my share of Beretta 92's over the years... nothing wrong with them [except maybe the big grip]... but I'm a BHP man these days... a Beretta M9 would be cool, though...

Just did that yesterday.

I walked into the local gun store for a box of bullets and some primers. I got talking with the owner. Somehow we got on the topic of a good, cheap 22 pistol and the next thing I know I'm the owner of a Smith & Wesson 22A.

I didn't even know the thing existed two days ago and now I'm waiting on my temp ATT to come through so I can pick it up.

The sad part is I totally forgot the bullets and primers so I have to go back for them.

Stay tuned to the EE...not sure I like it all that much....

I've had four 100% on-a-whim, no research or knowledge buys. In all four cases I was looking for something completely different, they caught my attention and the rest is as they say, history :)

No regrets on any of them:
-Ruger GP100 (my first one, it was my first restricted buy back in 1993)
-Winchester 1300
-Remington 597
-Norinco 1911-A1

Just bought a Uberti Schofield .45cal, from the Edge. Should be here next week, first wheel gun in 15 yrs. George

Sig mosquito, bought it on impulse.

Every other gun I've researched to death in various gunmags and books and multiple forums.

Actully bought a cz75b based on one I picked up eight months ago. It seemed to fit my hand then so i figured what the hell:) I picked up a p22 from a fellow cgn'er last week and as far as info on it all I could find was as many people didn't like them as liked them. So long story short you will never really "know" what your getting until you put some rounds through it.
I"ve been totally happy with both, although the cz is more accurate than me.:shotgun:

How about buying mags for a gun I don't have and know nothing about? Soon as I buy the mags, that means the gun is not far behind.

Most of my guns are bought unseen, untried and many are ones I have never held.

That's how I bought my XD40 and HK USP. One wasn't what I wanted, and one I loved and was stolen, but I have no problem buying unknowns, provided I trust the condition described.

You can always sell 'em again...

coltfan if you have any Beretta questions check out berettaforum.net

M9 is a great gun don't loose it...maybe you just need a few range trip to get to know it. :)
