Ever Buy Dies for Which You Have No Gun?

That's like asking if one is tempted to pick up .... say a new set of screwdrivers. The wife won't understand as "you've already got three complete sets, two mini sets, one specialty set, thirty one 'partial' sets, a backup set, a set for the house, the car, one for the sled, some old ones your dad gave you when you were 12, four 'exchangable bit' combos, and at least a half dozen singles forgotten under your work bench."
Hey, If the price is right, OF COURSE you are gonna buy em! You just never know, ya know?

Not exactly, but I did inherit a bunch of die sets that I will probably never use.
An old C&H form die set for .257 Weatherby. (bought a new set of RCBS)
.250-3000, .300 and .303 savage die sets ( probably never use but really should hang on to...)

Does it count if you have a set of dies for say,,, .45 ACP and when you need another crimp die for the progressive press you just buy another whole 3 die set?.
In that case I have ...
9mm
.357 Mag
.45 ACP
.44 Mag

Oh yes. Dies, ammo, brass. I sort of collect Lee Loader sets. Especially can't resist the older ones in the cardboard boxes. I started my reloading career with a Lee Loader in 30-30 around 37 years ago. I can still recall the thrill and sense of accomplishment I felt when I rolled out my first handload.:p :p
