Ever Wanted to Own a HEMI?

Word has come back from Les Baer Custom and it's nothing but good news!

We've had a lot of interest in these pistols over the last few months and we've had to hold off on accepting any orders for them until after the dust settled from SHOT Show. With Les Baer's wait times and the frenzy of buying that happens each year at SHOT, it took a month to get a line on their build queue for these brand new low production Les Baer models... but the wait is over! We've been allocated five of these pistols in their 2014 build queue for the all-new "572 HEMI" .45ACP pistols!

These pistols were inspired by Les Baer's own HEMI Cuda, and are built as pure performance pistols. These are all muscle, all the time! Dupont S Coated internals and barrels ensure extreme longevity and a satin hard chrome on the frame and slide keep the gun looking sharp. The high inherent lubricity of these substances is perfect for keeping the gun running even in high round count competition use. This pistol was thought out front to back and it looks fantastic.

With only five slots available, we have already contacted those who have expressed interest previously and we're already working with some of those shooters -- we could only secure five on the 2014 build queue and we expect these to get locked down very quickly. These are expected to take about 12 months in the queue at Les Baer. Contact us now if you are after one of these Les Baer Custom HEMI 572 1911s, before these five pistols get snapped up!

Cheers,
Daniel

Theirs really nothing special about a Hemi other than its name. All it means is an engine that has cylinder heads with a hemispherical combustion chamber rather then a flat head. Both the BBC and BBF had hemispherical combustion chambers, commonly why you hear guys call their BBC or BBF a semi hemi, just Dodge came up with the brilliant idea to call the engine a Hemi because people eat that #### up and sell cars.

Any engine with hemispherical heads and two valves per cylinder is what a hemi is... nothing special.

bbc=big block chev and a bbf=big block ford right? if so ,they r wedge engines not semi hemi, semi hemis r dodge and chrysler design and later on the ford came out with sohc killer semi hemi which was outlawed from racing a hemi is different from a semi hemi and yes a hemi is special thats why they only use them in top fuel racing

Interesting where this thread went. The first engines with hemispherical combustion chambers were built closer to 1911 than one would realize. They were aircraft engines

As for the, "nothing special," in reference to the Chrysler hemi, just check the rule changes and handicaps the racing sanctioning bodies put on hemi powered cars back in the day. Then tell me they weren't special.

I could never afford one, so it was always an unattainable dream for me. The 440 always found a home between the fender wells of the Mopars I owned.

Incidentally, some Porche and BMW engines sport heads with a hemispherical combustion chamber.

Oh please. They did the same thing to the Chevy 427 "Mystery Engine" nothing special about a 426 hemi. The out right banned the Chevy 427 in racing and they did it again to Chevy's 302 in the Camaro Z28 from 67-69. You think the 426 is the only engine they put rules and regulations on. Its nothing special.

Should note that this Les Bar 1911 572 is the same cubic inch as the Chevy 572 Big Block.

I'll buy the gun, but not buying another Dodge after all the issues of my wife's Dodge Caliber and getting screwed by Dodge with all the mechanical issues.

I miss my Sport truck though, this Dodge kicked A.S! Not a Hemi, but Magnum 5.9.

The hemi combustion chamber design is far superior to the wedge that GM & Ford use in their classic v8 engines. Its not by accident that top fuel engines are based on the 426 hemi.
