EXCITING NEWS!!! We're an approved VECTRONIX DEALER now - VECTOR X coming SOON!!

Since you can be our Guinea pig.

How easy is it to input a Wind 1 and Wind 2 vector in to the unit? 😁
I haven’t played with that as I haven’t read the manual yet. I was too lazy downloading the manual and figuring it all out. I was just randomly ranging a bunch of targets at various distances. And just randomly messing around with the menu options. I’ll see if I can get it done over the next couple of days.

That’s fair! Well we’ll be here for when you’ve had more time to play and can report back. It’s much appreciated Robbie!

On another note, the optics. Are they comparable (better, worse or terrible) compared to the Leica Geovid Pros upon first impressions?

I was able to briefly use a production set at the IPRF Worlds last week.
I've heard that magnifiers are delayed more than the binos, and someone said magnifiers not until 2025.

For wind setting, it's something like:
- press the button that jumps you to the settings page with wind
- press up/down to highlight the wind 1 speed line
- press left/right to increase/decrease wind 1 speed value
- press up/down to highlight the wind 2 speed line
- press left/right to increase/decrease wind 2 speed value
- press up/down to highlight the wind direction line
- press left/right to spin the wind direction by 30 minutes at a time (i.e. 12:00, 12:30, 1:00, etc)

Some of the menu spots have quick access buttons while in the main ranging/usage mode, saving some of the up/down pressing inside menus.

There's also a way to store a range result into the target card, and then later view the target card with all the target distances and ballistic solutions.

After ranging an object, it takes ~2 seconds to display a ballistic solution.

Awesome! That’s kind of how I brainstormed it working.

What were your initial impressions adamg?Any chance you where able to compare the optics to the pair you use?

Thanks AdamG for the insights.

TylerCJ, the glass is on par with the Leica Geovid Pro 42, and maybe (to my eyes) just a tad behind the Swarovski EL Range TA. I cannot see any difference between the Leica Geovid Pro 42 and the Vector X glass. At least not to my eyes, and I've looked at them side by side for quite a bit now.

Not side by side, no. I was mostly focused on the target card, ballistic solution, and wind settings user experience. Also, I was in a bad place to spot normal shooting distances and targets, and had very limited time. I can't say anything definitive about the glass due to this.

Curious if there’s any more news to report on these Bino’s? ETA?

How did you like the review sample Robbie?
Hi Tyler - still a little frustrated to be honest that VSS hasn't given the Canadian Distributor (and us) ANY ETA update whatsoever. I have been asking every week for the past 3 months, and the answer stays the same "we have not received any info on ETA and how many units we'd be getting".

The only "unofficial" ETA I have seen, was when someone asked VSS on their Instagram earlier in October about ETA of Canadian units, and VSS stated "starting in late October".

So fingers crossed we start seeing them arrive in early November.

Small world! That was me on their Instagram page XD

I’ve been bugging them on their social pages.

I appreciate the transparency on this Robbie. Can be frustrating but hopefully the wait is worth it.

What where some of the highlights of the demo unit you were able to test?

Ah.... the question was asked by someone names "dantheboilermaker".

I REALLY liked the demo unit - glass was very, very clear - and the heads-up display was super nice. Reticle will take a bit to get used to as it's right there all the time, and initially annoyed me when just looking at and ranging targets, but like anything, you get used to it after a while. Almost like using a Christmas tree reticle the 1st time.

Ranging was great - the only thing I didn't like about the entire unit, is the ranging button as it's fairly large but your finger needs to be right smack bang in the middle of the button, or it doesn't depress. Again, just something to get used to. Would have been nicer if the "ranging button" was a smaller, round protruding button - but I'm splitting hairs here.

Otherwise I liked it a LOT!!

Thanks for all the info Robbie! It’s looking to be a good step up tech wise compared to other units in the market besides the sig 10k.

My bad! That ain’t me. Haha! I realized I sent it as a private message. 😆

Good info to have thanks. Unfortunately, their "mid October" timeline turned out to be not accurate. Twenty20 Insight as of yesterday, still had not been given any ETA. I really hope we see them SOON!!!
