Very very few of these were made, especially in 28 gauge. This may be the only one in Canada, at least with the Westley Richards name, the exact same gun was produced by others. There are now no forgings, patterns, gauges or gunmakers with experience making these, nobody would attempt to make one today.

Actually there is or so the CO's I worked with told me? If a CO determines in his estimation that your firearm is in unsafe working condition they can seize the firearm and a few I worked with me told me a gun without a working safety falls in the category of a gun in disrepair.
Unless it is a written law it's really not a valid rule most CO's and police officers don't even know where to find a safety on a firearm no credibility there
Unfortunately in this country you are guilty till you prove your innocence of to court you go
