Do they all come with the "Tamer" pistol grip as in the picture or was this an add on you did? If you added it on who makes it? >>>>>> Looks like hogue makes it....

That is a cool looking little gun. Just wondering what a person might use it for?

It is designed as a light-weight and extremely compact animal defence camping/backpacking gun. It was called the "Backpacker".
I have to say it is extremetly compact, even with the full buttstock.
Cheers

Gotta love the armchair lawyers..... Let's just see how this plays out for the people that have already spent OVER A YEAR researching this before we all jump in with our "professional" opinions.... :p

I'd carry every scrap of paperwork with you, and have a small bank account set aside for legal fees, as prosper is correct IMHO, as you have overlooked a key piece of information regarding the RCMP's authority, and abilities...Good luck.

Unfortunately, it's not within the authority of the RCMP to make this statement. The police are there to enforce the law, not interpret it. If a section of the law is unclear, it's the job of the courts to interpret the intent of the law. Unless this HAS been to the courts and he's just echoing their ruling here, I'd be very cautious.

BOTTOM LINE

THE SHORTY 870's WILL ALL BE LEGALLY REGISTERED!!!! CERT PROVES IT AND SO WOULD A CALL or COMPUTER INQUIRY TO THE CFC BY THE LEO who may see it or have an issue with it!!!!!!!!!!!

Enough said. Debate all you want about the legalities. IT IS CFC approved and certs have been issued. Everyone here posting there opinion against this seems to be a Firearms Expert and Lawyer all rolled into one  . F**ken annyoing!!!

IF you don't think it is legal for some assinine reason DON'T BUY ONE and MOVE ON without posting your bulls**t thoughts.

We go through this EVERYTIME with people on CGN, bullpups, 10 round Ar 9mm mags, 10 round AR 223 mags.....it is getting old and tiring. If you like it be happy and buy one if not keep your so called "legal" opinions to yourselves and move on

Once again I hope the legality of this firearm is never in question as it is a cool looking little companion and built on one hell of a utilitarian action.

couldn't agree with you more Ponts. It seems to be a Canadian tradition that whenever anybody comes up with a new concept others try to pull him down. I believe it was the separatist leader Jacques Parizeau (whatever you think of him) who said. "Canadians are like lobsters- whenever one tries to climb out of the pot, the others pull him back in" - he was speaking about Quebec and Canada, but seems to be right on in ageneral sense otherwise

I'd buy one...Any idea of cost, and hwo man Dlask is going to produce?

I posted before that they were =<$900, but after I posted that I think they might actually be =<$800 :)

I can't remember; if they are indeed =<$800 I am 80% down for one.
I believe they will be posted on their site this week sometime (mid week) and then orders can be placed

Get ready!!

How would this handle slugs?? ouch
I have an 18.5" Mossy with a pistol grip and it's a killer with just 7 1/2 shot!
I juste got a 12.5" ordered with Dlask, but this juste looks amazing and I like the drop leg holster idea.

If there is an FRT # for it and the transfers are approved by the CFC and if Reg Certs are issued.....then I'd say it was legal.....why all the bickering ?

EXACTLY. This entire thread should be praise to the person UNOSPISTOLEROS and DLASK for making this happen. Not maybe this maybe that what it this what if that.........for now it is what it is......as UNOSPISTOLEROS explained in the first post in this thread.
