Extending CZ858 folding stock ideas

lol little africa...

the big thing is getting your nose away from that factory sling mount I guess?

a spacer and a longer screw between the receiver and the fold mech wouldn't work.

a recoil pad would be easiest, short of a collipsible ar stock - which loses the folding aspect.

I just bought two and cut a chunk out and had a friend weld in the piece. In hind sight since I covered the stock with parachute cord, a piece of key stock would have been better. But this way I get to do both methods and fix two of my stocks. I like it better then the AR 15 rear stock and adapter

A very cool mod would be to turn the factory folding stock into a folding adjustable length. I want to see one now.

That assumes the material is known, is weldable and OP has the skills or is willing to pay someone to do it.

I do believe the factory ones are some type of cast material.

Its mild steel, I welded mine back together after cutting the buttplate off and inletting/epoxying the stub into a poylmer buttstock. After taking that apart I simply fitted the parts up and ran a couple quick 7018 stringers over top, ground smooth, painted and paracord. Y2K, you could weld in an extension but it has almost an I-beam construction to it that would be hard to duplicate. This means you'll be forced to wrap it in paracord :p thus making it more awesome

I have the NEA AR tube mount and allows catilever scope mount. What I would love to see is a block that would screw in instead of th AR tube that the stock CZ folding stock can affix to. Would add the inch or so to length and still allow fixing of optics to the rear of the rifle.

I used a FAB Defense adjustable, side folding M4 style stock on my VZ58, works great.

this would be great because i am very happy with the original folding stock. But Nea discontinued even the one for AR stock :(

If you change your stance you won't need to make the stock longer. Many guys who use a shotgunners stance find the OEM folding stock too short. If you square your shoulders to the target you'll find the stock length just fine.
