I keep hearing about eye surgery and am very tempted to get it done for all the above reasons.
1. Fingers in eye are a not in a chance of hell, aka no contacts.
2. Worried about side effects (night vision, haloes)
What versions of corrective eye surgery are there? And what does each version entail?
I loathe the idea of anyone, even a doctor cutting into my precious eyeballs, especially when I can see them doing it. (No sir, I want to be put out.)
Can anyone elaborate on the current process/versions used and the relative cost factor for both eyes? I have read Lazik throughout this thread and with the testimonials of you guys, I'm seriously thinking of it.
My eyes however are not too bad.

I have several sets of glasses at my current perscription (Thank god for benefits @ work).
My wants for getting it are very selfish as I'm not even close to being legally blind.
1. I want my peripheral vision back (Paintball sucks when you cannot see movement acutely from your sides).
2. No more glasses.
Sigh.... I just want info. So if any of you know of specialists in the Kitchener-Waterloo-Cambridge (Ontario) vicinity, or better yet recommend them, please let me know via a PM. Thanks a bunch.
From what I've heard so far though, I guess I won't be getting my Unica-6 anytime soon then
