If you dig into the results of any of the CFRC results on the DCRA web page you will see some very good results in the Grand Agg.

Best is try to get out to a couple matches and see what everyone is using. And try to get behind them for a bit. I've noticed that my eyes like certain scopes and certain reticles. We can all give advice as to what we like, but in the end it's your money. I've bought a number of scopes because someone said they were the best only to sell them 2 days later because I didn't like how everything looked with my eyes. What's clear for them might not be for you. And yes, played with all the adjustments but liked a certain look. After you spends days behind something you start knowing what is good for your eyes and how your brain perceives targets.
There used to be distinct classes of glass. Under $400, Under $1000, Under $2500, and then the elite stuff. Now the price has shifted a bit and some of the mid priced is looking like elite for cheaper.
Shop around and spend time behind other scopes at ranges would be my answer

I run Sightron S111 scopes. I use the 25276 model because it has a zero stop (which I value very much) and exposed Tactical turrets. Unfortunately, these scopes only come with a 1/4 MOA click adjustment. That is fine for the longer ranges. I would prefer an 1/8 MOA adjustment but they don't make a scope with the zero stop and tactical turrets with 1/8 moa. I value the zero stop and turrets as essential but the 1/8th MOA as nice to have. The Delta has both but it is a lot heavier. The Sightron SV is a great scope but really heavy and if you are trying to make weight such as a F-TR rifle you will have issues.
The Sightron and Delta are great scopes but are 34mm tubes and are as heavy as pig iron. The Sightron S111's and Kalhes are 30mm scopes and are in a weight range acceptable for most uses. The Kahles is considered to have the most stable adjustments of any peer scope and the glass is very very good.
The advise given above about trying all the scopes before buying is very good advise. My eyes, for example, have issues with the Nightforce Benchrest series but no issues with the NSX series. The Vortex Golden Eagle is considered by many to have poor glass performance in the top magnification ranges as they get dark. Delta Gen 1's were considered to have real issues in certain light conditions but that has been straightened out in Gen2 and 3. Kalhes glass while considered very good has quirks in colour some people find different.
I also had vision issues with the early versions of the Sightron S111's a decade ago and sold them all at the time to go to March scopes. I found the March scope glass superb but the scopes wore out internally and failed. The S & B's simply broke.
The first attempt that Leupold made at an F-Class scope was so bad that Leopold tracked them all down and bought them back to destroy them and the Gen2 wasn't too much better.

When you are paying top dollar, you are generally getting an excellent scope. For me the reticle design is profoundly important. I my personal preference id the reticle choices with Nightforce. I am partial to the NP2-DD design. I hate cluttered scopes since I shoot at known/fixed distances, and at a target whose dimensions do not require that I stick a reticle looking like a chicken wire fence in front. As I get older, I appreciate this more and more. Everyone's taste is different,
