Fake Cans and barrle shrouds

Yes i do and it was a rhetorical question. But i think my point is valid. How do you measure a reduction in sound. From what point is it quieter? Bare muzzle? If one brake is quieter than another is it considered a suppressing device? Or is it in the marketing (like magazines)? Don't sell it as a fake can, market it as a REALLY long muzzle brake?

One of the reasons we have waiting so long to make the fake cans, it that we have been going back and forward with the CFO, to allow us to develop and MFG our suppressor, I don't go into the details of why its not happen, as those people read CGN everyday.
But there are things to avoid when it comes to making any muzzle device that, can lower the sound when attached.
CCC states something like, any device that is added to a muzzle that can lower the sound signature of a firearms is classed as a firearms suppressor, and is a prohibited device under section , blah, blah, blah etc...
I,m sure with time we could make a flashhider combined with a fake can.

Any interest in muzzle breaks for Pistols too. If so HK USP but I'm sure there's alot of Glock 19 and PPQ guys out there too , maybe start a poll to vote on popularity

sorry if its been mentioned here before but if the whole sound reduction thing is such an issue then why not make a really long linear compensator, think noveke pig or pws cqb. you can enclose the end like the pws and put whatever inside. then you have something that looks cool, would probably have the same weight as a real can, but this would actually do something useful instead of just look cool and as we all know comps make things louder so no one could accuse you of making a suppressor

or as Scarheart make it a blast shield but i think my idea would be slightly more practical.

For sure I,m all about making products that work, but that would e another topic, most are looking for a show piece, or something to make non restricted bbl not look so out out place.
something cost effective and well made, not a proformance part.
That would for us be an R&D thing, that would involve time and a lot of testing.
Right now this thread is just about fake cans and bbl shrouds.

I think I would vote for the cheaper finish as well to keep the cost down. I love the idea of having a internal muzzle device hidden inside but totally am fine with just getting a basic shroud for now.

Criminal Code S.81(1)(c) a device or contrivance designed or intended to muffle or stop the sound or report of a firearm.

So if it is not designed specifically to muffle or stop the sound then you are good. Muzzle brakes are not designed to muffle the sound.
