Don't be too critical of Hoytcanon. He is one of the good guy's on here
. Always quick to give good sound advice. Also quick to scold you if he considers your post out of line. We need more guy's like him! I'm a lifelong hunter & I bet be could teach me a thing or two about archery hunting. As others have said, bear are tough critters. Don't compare them to deer. Be sure of your shot & be prepared to do a blood track. If hunting in the evening, be aware of rain in the forecast that could wash away your blood trail. That is a young bear, around 150lbs IMHO. I echo the other posters; bear meat is one of my favorites for eating. Roasts in the slow-cooker are delicious.
