XCR hands down.
Was going to buy an SG-542 (wanted a good NR .308) looked forward to it for months, super excited!
Saved up the money, drove three hours to buy it. Once I got there, they had an XCR-M.
So I compared them, side by side, I was SO torn, because I was REALLY looking forward to the FAMAE!
Was at the store for over two hours, just going up and down, inside and out comparing them.
And to be honest, the FAMAE doest come ANYWHERE NEAR the quality of the XCR. It is a beautiful rifle, and I could not be happier that I chose the XCR-M.

yah ok, not sure where he got the bolt for that, or the mags, or the gas settings, sounds like a lot of things that can go wrong

use any AR pattern 7.62x39 magazines and the factory ACR gas system.
This is my rifle, argonauts bolt and asc mags. This is actually probably coolest rifle
I ever shot, just pumps out 7.62x39 and so accurate. Factory gas settings work fine

Herron arms does a very fine job with there conversions. But they are expensive.
I paid over 1100 dollars for mine. Dlask will not do this
True there may not be many around, but what you read about on our Canadian firearms sites is a fraction of what is actually out there.
As Brian46 stated few advertise all that they own (or any for that matter) and that the firearms community that is actually posting on the net is likely a small part of the total shooters out there.
I suppose we're getting a little off topic, so lets get back on topic. Sorry OP.
