Well I guess you will find this hilarious then but I have no idea what you are implying. And again this is the black rifle section not a dealer section.

You know exactly what I'm saying! Yes this is the black rifle forum and not a dealer forum that's why I'm free to to call you out.
You guys were a huge part in the drama that occurred with the SAN rifle and getting a few FRT's pulled and now what you're doing in this thread is essentially saying "oh our product is approved but our competitor's product isn't even though they're the same thing we may be using a different distributer so probably don't order a rifle from our competitor but our are good to go wink wink"

That is what is happening here. Your wording is very carefully selectedto avoid sounding underhanded, but that's what you're saying.

Hmmm, why are you doubting another dealer and digging so hard?

Why all the rhetorical questions and innuendo? I have answered the questions that were posed. Nothing here is disparaging of TI nor do I doubt for one minute that TI can and will have more FRT numbers generated for other 540 series guns.

That would be way out of line if we have Canadian dealers or importers who stab others in the back and screw all of us of some new firearm opportunities and I sure as hell hope these dealers are not part of CGN!

We were the victims of an over zealous individual. I am not sure how that makes us responsible for the SAN situation. Details are here if you are actually interested in facts: http://www.theshootingcentre.com/sans-overview

And I am certainly not saying that our guns are the real thing and TI's are not. Read again what was posted. The entire semi automatic SG540 series of guns can and will be approved for import as restricted or non restricted firearms based on the inspection of the various models. Several models have already been approved. More will almost for sure be approved in the near future. I am only pointing out to those that are interested in facts that the currently approved non restricted ERE models are being produced for a different distributor than some might have expected. How this is seen as underhanded, slimey or likely to get something banned is beyond me. I would have thought that more competition was a good thing.

Competition is a wonderful thing. But only if its friendly competition, which that wasn't, and you knew that was a cheap move on a competitor. Maybe it was best if you hadn't said anything at all.

The 542 is made in a semi-auto mode for police services in chile. It serves in the police college as a training gun.

I for one look forward to my new Chilean overlords.

This will have to do even though it has some non FAMAE.
Still learning it.

If anything, the timing of the FAMAE line getting FRTs is pretty f@cking incredible wouldn't you say.

Also, does anyone know anything about ERE Systems? Have they been in business for decades now and exported out of Chily thousands of firearms? Or is this a fresh start up company put together just for the import of FAMAE firearms into Canada?

The ladder option seems to be more like it when looking at their website ht tp://eresystems.com/.

I ask this in light of the comment by CSC :
They were made by FAMAE for ERE (their distributor), who then submitted them for examination.

Perhaps there's a Chiliean website somewhere that I didn't find that CSC could point us too. Just trying to establish how solid of a foundation this business relationship is sitting on.

Why? The 540 is unrestricted (at least the ones from TI are).

The only reason I would think one would ask that question is with the mindset of purchasing the restricted lenght FAMAE Carbine and turn it into a non-restricted barrel length 540, much like its been done with the SAN line rifles, with the goal in mind of a lighter platform in the end (shorter gas system and all).

But mucho extra $$...

The carbine length is called the 543.
