I have a Factory Tan Famae SG540 and I was just wondering how much is it worth? It's one of the tan edition comes with rail mount and 10 Magazine. I know there is a new import coming in and the prices of the magazine are super expensive. I got it on trade years ago so I have no idea what it's worth. I never shoot the rifle myself so the condition is 9-9.5/10. Thank you for the help šŸ˜Š
 
Alot of people couldnt get on the list. The last SG540 sold for 4500 with 6 magazine. Also I believe the tan edition is 1/30 from the last import (correct me if I'm wrong lol) so Id definitely be selling for more than 3300 lol

LOL.... what a pathetic attempt to price-gouge on a breakage-prone boutique rifle that cost $2K new. I know because I had one of the first 2 in Canada back in the day. I think mine sold for $3500 with an additional Galil Folding Buttstock about 5 years ago. A bone-stock M96 is maybe worth $4500 to a motivated buyer. Those asking more are dreaming in technicolour....
 
I was wondering, the Swiss rifles already have a classification and supposedly you will be able to go to the
range .
Could they out and out ban these to the house or worst?

If anything, they will add the FAMAE SG 540-series to the existing OIC as part of the 350 additional makes and models to be banned this Fall according to the "Handgun Feeeze" press conference.

The Swissarms SIG 550/PE90 rifles and carbines are already re-banned and house-bound under the OIC of 2 years ago.

I wonder if CSC is going to get their shipment in before the ban?

Has this been confirmed? 350 new additions to the OIC this fall? That's got to be every still legal semi-auto centrefire left. Trudeau is going to full New Zealand?
 
All guns in Canada will eventually be banned as the Liberal end goal , and corner stone of their party now , is a totally gun free Canada where ONLY the police and military are allowed access to firearms . Luckily the CPC had the forsight to dump the LGR , so a lot of those previously non restricted , but now OIC banned firearms are in the wild , and mostly safe as the govt. has no idea who has them , or where they are . The dangerous part now is that any gun being bought through a dealer is part of the new back door registry where information on the firearm , and who bought it , will be kept for govt. use .

All will be banned eventually....they have been doing it incrementally....and it's working.
Since they are talking of banning airsoft now, you know at some point EVERYTHING is going to be banned.

....and add the 5rd magazine ban to ALL longarms they are proposing for the near future.

It was clearly stared by Trudeau and Mendocino during the May Press Conference regarding the Handgun Freeze. What more "confirmation" do you need to see the writing on the wall? Mendocino has been suckling at the teat of Poly Se Souviens for some time now, performing like a trained seal to grant their every specufic wish. One need only peruse Poly's "hit list" poster of remaining black guns to see what is next on the prohib list.

I wonder how they came up with that number? Taking a cursory look at Armalytics there are still 1,155 NR semi auto rifles listed in the FRT. I'm guessing a good chunk of those may be duplicates/variants of same models etc.

However, if we dig a little further you see that 745 of those 1,155 are .22lr rifles, leaving us with 410 semi autos. A number awfully close to the quoted 350.

So we can assume that all or the vast, vast majority of semi auto centrefires are getting added to the OIC, detachable mags or not.

The new ones don't have the same elegant lines and cold war Swiss Sturmgewehr aesthetics, and instead look like the multi-railed dog's testicles and also weigh 18 lbs with all of the extra crap hanging from them. STANAG magazines are also a downgrade to me.

Having the ability to have 10 vs 5 rounds would be a huge plus for most 540 owners I'd wager.
