My 13 year year old son came out tonight with me to get familiar with the new stock on the 7x57 mountain rifle and to shoot the rifle for the first time.
He fired a 154 grain Hornady at a distance of around 90 yards at a small square I put on a rock with black marker.
He hit about half an inch left of the square and there was a puff of smoke and a solid thump.
We then moved back to a distance of about 125 yards, he then hit some other rocks about 6 inches in diameter and blew some chunks off them.
He said the bi-pod makes it real steady and the thumbhole stock fits the hand naturally, I think he is right.
Besides listening to instruction very well, the kid's a natural.
