Yes someone will reinvent the 250-3000 improved with a faster-twist barrel. I think the old 30-06 vs 270 argument was becoming boring so more hairs to split were required.

For the OP another bullet I like is the Sierra 117 gr spitzer boat tail #1630. In the 06’ and bee it is also impressive. I haven’t shot anything with it in the smaller 25’s.

There aren't enough 6.5 cases with capacity to drive a heavy for calibre bullet well over 3000 fps?

I think there's a trend toward small cases and little recoil so I think a high BC 25cal cartridge could sell well for at least a year or 2 anyway. But who knows. Maybe a commercial flop to

It doesn't work well all the time. I hunted with the 100 gr. TSX with results of almost losing two whitetail bucks; terrible expansion from these bullets, never again.....Nosler all the way!

On the positive side Barnes bullets made me a very good tracker.

What speed are you driving them at? I have not used them in 25 yet.

I wouldn't trade my 257Roberts for a 6.5CM any day of the week, but for the factory load shooter there are a lot fewer choices in 25cal.

People are playing around with the creedmore....6, 25....hell someone will push a 338, call it 338 blackout.

The 243/6 bore benefited from 6 creedmore, so will the 25. Initially, lots of target choices, then hopefully some hunting bullets. It's really the forgotten in the gym locker red headed step child. For hunting, a awesome bore for forgotten deer calibers. Most old calibers aren't going to stabilize 131-140 bullets, too slow a twist. But how about just sparking interest, getting manufacturers to switch the line and tooling.....run some good quality 110-120 hunting bullets.

This really depends on what you shoot, how far, and so on. Lots of parameters.
A generality would be that a heavier bullet pushed at a similar speed as the lighter bullet, would perform better. Speed does kill. Higher displacement and speed kills better.

That's right, 500 plus yards from place of impact, and 200 yards with the second buck. With the 100 grain ballistic tip, almost guaranteed, DRT. The only time I used Barnes, and both failed; never had a failure with Nosler, never. I hunt trophies, and take it serious not to lose an animal. Without snow I might of lost this buck...........
