You gents have been very helpful on my "FTR barrel, bullet, twist" and "FTR bipod" threads. I have in fact bought a rifle with 1-10" twist, throated for 215s, usable for some of the lighter bullets. Intitial testing seems to indicate that it'll shoot better than I'll ever be able to; so that part is progressing nicely. I've got a Tier One FTR bipod coming, which leads to the next question.
What's the current favorites for rest bags? My stock has a slope to the buttstock bottom, but I might brush off my metal working skills and rig up a bag riding rod. (Technical term I just made up).
It seems like there's more Edgewood bags at our shoots than other brands, but there are as many kinds as there are shooters. Is there a best, or safest guess, or an obvious no-brainer quit worrying about it choice? No brainer is fine with me.
