Favorite Grouse Gun

Browning Citori, Micro Midas, Satin hunter in 12 ga. Small, lightweight, manoeuvrable 26" barrels. I use an IC in the bottom barrel and a SK in the top barrel.

I like my ruger 10/22. This year for sh%&s and giggles, I'm going to take my Mossberg Tactical 22 with Holographic scope and other accessories. Cant wait to see the faces of my buds at moose camp when I pull it out and say its my new moose gun:p Only one guy knows of the 8. It should be a good laugh.

This past Christmas we picked up 2 for my nephews, so I got one for me as well.

Love my Iver johnson 410 single with 2 1/2" and 6's.but might go with the 12ga and brass blackpowder shells this year...

My sweet little Remington 870 "Special Field" in 20 ga.

At 5-1/2 lbs. & a 21" barrel makes for my favorite upland gun....

My interest lie in double guns, however, that is one beautiful slide action and just perfect for the Grouse woods!

I do own a BPS Upland Special that should be made to participate in one of those weight reduction programs :) but still a nice pump although likely nowhere close to that 870 in balance/handling.

my new england 410 always does the trick

Really nice pic ohdot. I though, have always found 410's to be frustrating on flying targets. Great for potting sitting grouse or shooting jacksnipe in tight back in the day as birds are not shot up too bad. But then again, I once watched a guy shoot skeet with a 410. It was a humbling experience for me:redface:

This used to be my grouse slayer and works very well with 6s or 7 1/2s. Either ground sluicing or flying. It is a shortened JP Sauer SXS 12 ga

Now this little sweetheart deserves a shot at it this fall, we'll try her out on some spruce hens and maybe a rousing go at the millions of ptarmigan around.
