Favorite rifle to carry that you own....

My LH stainless classic 30-06. Had the barrel turned to FW contour added a McMillan EDGE stock, Williams bottom metal, and completed with FX II 6X36 in Leupold DD's (soon to be Talley LW's). 7lbs 4oz's.

Would have to be my Rem 11-87 SP 12g with Speedfeed Monte Carlo stock and forend and a 21" fully rifled SP cantileaver barrel stuffed with Remington CoreLokt Ultra sabot slugs. Although not all that ###y, this gun has accounted for more meat in my freezer than anyother gun I own. It just never lets me down even when we're challenged with extreme shots for a slug gun. As for my favorite rifle...well my Rem 700 BDL S/S in a HS Precision stock, custom muzzle break, Limbsaver recoil pad and a Leupold Mark 4 4.5-14X50 LR / M1 illuminated TMR reticle and a bipod.

I like the scope choice...I've got the M8 6x36 on my .30-06

My fav rifle to take with me anywhere though, is my Weatherby Mark V Deluxe in .300 Weatherby. It wears a Zeiss Conquest 3-9x40...they just had to take their sweet-ass time bringing out a fixed-power...

I'd have no trouble picking my Belgium made Browning in 35 Whelen. It's topped with a Leupold VXll 2x7. I've thought about going with a higher power scope, but I like to be able to keep it on a low setting. (cuz of the grizzlies don't ya know) I use Federals 225 grain TBBC factory load and get a tad under 1" groups. I get 1/2" groups with home loaded Hornady 250 grain R/N but when I start to get up over 2350fps the groups open up. If I knew how to post a picture I would, cuz it's a pretty one.

My Ruger M77 MKIII in 30-06 pushin 180grain would be my first choice second would be the Mini-14 (dont laugh, these are the only two rifles we have:redface: ....). Mini-14 cause its light and can cycle rounds fast...

Walk'n, the Marlin 336C.

Probably upgrade to a 1895 GS soon.... :D

Sit'n, Savage 10fpLE1A. 13lbs unloaded... I'm staying right here with a pic-a-nic basket.
