So out of everything you own right now, what is your favorite all around carry rifle for everywhere that you travel. Hunting season or not, varmits, bear defense, just tell us what is your favorite all around carry rifle for everything is. Just remember, this question is about what you own, not what you want or think is the best.

We all have particular rifles that we would use on specific hunts etc.. Lets just say everything is open and you are going to go for a nice afternoon walk with one of your favorite firearms(that you own) in an area you like to frequent. Might be the bush, might be the praries, maybe the mountains, who knows...

What would it be? It doesnt matter what anyone else thinks, this is your area and your favorite carry rifle. The one you wont leave home without...

:D

You can only pick one, not four ;) :D

Tikka T-3 S/S .270WSM It wears a VXIII 4.5-14 L.R B/C reticle and is equipped with a Muzzle Break.
Extremely light recoil, very light to carry, flat and accurate enough for very long range, enough energy to kill varmints to most any big game effectively, versatile optics for all kinds of hunting situations, and it is rugged and functional with a fast smooth action and a superb trigger.
Slugguns are my thing in most situations but when I need a rifle the Tikka is my first choice most often.

Boomer that is a very interesting rifle...

I have a 375 RUM as well but it is a standard Rem 700 LSS s/s with a standard scope mount, I also have a synthetic stock for when I'm in extreme weather areas here in BC.

I am totally interested in what you had done...

What is the barrel length and have you chronographed any loads for it?

Also what loads are you using?

You need to get involved in the 25 yard bear charge stopping shoot that we are doing with that thing...

I'd love to see it in action...

Mine is my T-3 S/S 270 WSM with a Leupold VXII 3X9X40. I usually hunt deer on the prairie / farm land areas of Southern Alberta and the shots can be long at times. I find the T-3 nice and light to hike around for a few miles with.

Browning BPR 22mag.From G-hogs to coyote and everything in between does the job for me.

Deer season a 760 carbine in 280.

It used to be my old pre-64 fwt 30-06 with Leupold 2-7X scope. But for the past two seasons it's been a custom 280 Ackley on a M700 action. 24" barrel, it weighs 6 pounds 11 oz all up with a Leupold 6X42. It fits me like no other rifle I have ever owned, has perfect balance and a phenomenal trigger. Meld those 3 qualities, feed it a good bullet, and there's not much it can't handle.

My BLR is definitely my favorite to carry in the bush. Light, well balanced and super quick to point. I also really like the stock open sights. So far any running deer I’ve crossed paths with didn’t run for long. ;)

For the past two seasons I've been packing my 7x57 Brno topped with a VX III 2.5-8x36 and have stopped a couple Whitetails, my first Bull Elk and a wolf too. I am most confident with this one and it shoots very well. If in doubt I grab it.

Having said that, there is a matching 8x57 in the safe now that deserves some use, and then there's the 9.3......
Tough to choose when you like them all!

a tough call really, but i would have to say my 36 flintlock. if black powder isn't part of the scenario then my sako vixen mannlicher in 222.
