How are the newer doubles/over unders like the Mossberg or Stevens? I know one of them made a synthetic stock.
Agreed, but the price on the new ones are a little scary to me, using it as a duck gun/ paddle... LOL!
Cory. If you do ever get the desire/cash for a magnum 10 beware the over unders. I have heard some of them have a habit of doubling when you only intend to discharge one barrel.
I have never heard myself of a similar complaint from a magnum 10 side by side.
Probably one reason why no one presently makes an O/U ten.

I've actually got an Ithaca Mag 10 already. Bought it with the intention of using it as a "long range, pass shooting" gun for geese. Sat with it a few times in Manitoba trying to get a Snow Goose...never saw one while holding it...
Swings nice though

Have an SP 10 with a custom 26" barrel. Took it to Sask. last year shot 3 boxes of 10 g through it in one day ,Gave the other 5 to the guide and switched back to my Benelli .That was a better beating than I got when I almost burned the old mans barn down next door. Could not get up out of the layout blind and set with that 11lb. monster and I am pretty good size, recoil even ported and backbored it smashed you cannot imagine what it would be like with the 32 barrel .Shooting out of a stand up blind where you can brace yourself maybe but did not work sitting up ,being spanked,![]()
