Sibes must be just about the cutest dogs on the planet (To bad they can be arses)

Not an arse but a fully developed goofball to say the least! Had an Akita but he went down to the farm... city life didn't agree with him (or city people didn't agree with him, one or the other)

1. That's a big scope.
2. That's a big dog.

Is that one of those night-vision deals? I've seen some pictures of something similar on M16s before. It was kinda funny because the guy was looking down the scope with the lens cap still on.

Well, unless the stock has been altered, or the rifle is a 1/2 conversion, its a bit more than a mismatch. Better disassemble, and have a look. The 1 and 2 stocks are structurally different just in front of the buttsocket.

There is more than a brass pin missing. On a no.4Mk1 stock there is a steel strap that re-inforces the stock preventing splintering of the forearm which is retained by a brass pin, but it's the metal strap that does the work, not the pin.

on a No.4 mkII stock (which you have) the stock has a through-bolt which synches the wood against the trigger boss. your gun doesn;t have a trigger boss, so nothing is retaining the back of the stock to prevent it from splitting.

If it's what I think it is, it's not safe. Get an Enfield knowledgeable person to look at it if you don;t know what to look for.
