February Milsurp Purchases
These are some of my February purchases. They may not be firearms but they are milsurps:
British MK II helmet shell
Pattern 37 Water Bottle, Cover and Carrier (mine is MEC 1943 ^ stamped and blue enameled. This is a photo of a similar one.)
1942 Kodak CMkIII liquid prismatic compass and Pattern 37 carrier as issued to a Captain Haddad of the Canadian Army Medical Corps. Compass and photos courtesy of Claven whom I purchased the compass from. This compass has been fully reconditioned.
These were purchased for a display that I'm working on to commemorate my father's service in WW2. I have his 'walking out' BD blouse, ID discs, paybook, medals, papers, a few photos, his issue razor, issue whistle, field dressing, a magneto driven flashlight, cup, plate, his wartime lighter, boot brush, a ring that he had made out of a British silver coin and some books and manuals that he had in England.
I've also previously acquired a haversack, dewat Sten (though my Dad used a Tommy gun) and LB SMLE No.4 MK 1* rifle. Lots still to go.
