I finally got my first Mauser!

its an M48BO Yugoslav. Mismatched bolt and floor plate. well, they match each other, but not the action or stock(and those match each other). Some dings in the main stock, but not too bad. Hand guard is in great shape tho. Metal is nice, some wear but nice. Bore is VERY good. bayonet is in great shape too.

The yugo Mausers are very nice rifles, and now it seems they are all gone.

You don't see too many on the EE, just check in 5 years and they'll sell for $1000.

Mine has the nicest mirror bore of any milsurp I have, or ever had.

Finally picked up a svt-40 bayo, for my kovrov! Tula marked. I'll make some new grips and match them too my svt.

Why on earth would you even consider doing that????

It's your bayo and you can do anything you want with it but why remove the original grips, with original stamps and cut the value of your bayonet in half????

I've had my heart set on a P14 for a while but this will have to do for now. It's an Eddystone and it's in nice shape with a good shootable bore. I'm gonna clean it up and shoot it and maybe someone will trade me a P14 for it...after all, we all know the .303 is superior. ;)

1953 Tula, Unissued but with a Laminate stock change. Hard pressed to even find a nick or a scratch on this rifle. Really wish that it had the original stock cause its so clean!!!

well i walked in to crappy tire again with no intention to buy anything but it happen again guys, that place is evil, i walked out with a 1944 Svt 40, i was looking at the guns and they had a svt 40 in one of the cases and i had a look and it was a 1943 so i ask a clerk if they had any more out back and he said 1 more, i said if he had a 44 or 45 i would take it ( i think the 44 is a rare year but not sure) i was looking at scopes and turn around and buddy was holding a 1944 svt and i could not say no :), i wanted a k98 but couldnt find one in my price range so this svt will have to do, the reciver and the stock match, no refurbished stamp on the stock, and the bolt is forced match and mag is mismatch, i find the wood heavier and better looking then my other svt.

While you are at it, the blade needs some sharpening too...

Yes I'll sharpen it.... And I'll make sure to burn the original grips....

I'm making news ones too color match and keeping the originals, they are held on by simple flathead screws.

Nice SVT you got:) 1944 was the last year of full production, they are somewhat rare, less than a 1945 but still rare.
